Just In: Governor Wike Speaks On Defection To APC

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has said he cannot defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) or any other political party

The Rivers state governor made this known in a statement released on Friday, December 11.


In the statement which was released by his media aide, Kelvin Ebiri, Governor Wike said since he lacks the ability to defect to the APC or another political party, he will continue to do what he can to ensure the survival of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).


The governor said this after claiming that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP is causing disunity in the party and are not interested in taking over from the APC in 2023.


His words:


“I will not allow anybody to kill PDP. They have capacity to move to APC. I don’t and I cannot move to APC.


“So, anybody that tries to do something to destroy PDP, I will not allow you. Anybody that I see that has the trait to destroy the PDP, I will not allow it.”


Meanwhile, in another report, Governor Wike has said that his Benue counterpart, Samuel Ortom, has no plan to return to the APC, contrary to unverified, viral claims.


Wike made this declaration while he commissioned road projects completed by governor Ortom in Makurdi and Guma are of the state

Fast & Furious Star Ludacris Speaks Out on the Series Ending

It was announced last month that the Fast & Furious movies, which began back in 2001,  would be coming to an end after the 11th film . This was certainly a shock to many fans, especially since it felt like the movies had the potential to go on forever. However, some of the franchise's cast have positive thoughts on the news.
